Science:
I wrote this report as a part of our Buoyancy Unit in Physics junior year. I put a lot of effort into researching the Titanic's history and as a result gained a lot of useful knowledge.

FLI Project:
My project was called Nickels For Nets, I raised money by collecting small donations from people at ACLC and NEACLC. I was also able to get a few larger contribution from businesses like Craigs List. The point of Nickels for Nets is to raise money to purchase mosquito nets for people in Africa. Malaria has a particularly devestating effect on the continent. Bed nets cost only $5 and last many years. I wanted to let students know that all it takes to save lives is $5 the same amount most high schoolers spend on lunch each day. I collected small donations, mostly change and dollar bills from students. Through N4N I was able to bring awareness of malaria to my community and encourage people to help stop the spread of the disease. Over the period of three weeks I was able to raise over $3,000, enough to purchase over 600 nets. I used this power point as a way to encourage people to donate. I am very proud of this project.
